Downey is a multi-disciplinary interior design firm founded and led by the firm's principal, Alison Downey. Ms. Downey previously led the interior design program at global luxury furnishings brand, RH, and prior to that she was a senior designer for AD100 design firm, Jennifer Post.Since its inception, Downey has completed an extensive portfolio of diverse and complex projects, providing interior and exterior design services for ground-up new construction, renovation projects, and interior decoration services for existing spaces.We recognize the many components that combine for a successful project, which include a respect for the integrity of a home's original architecture and an in-depth understanding of the client's tastes and desires. Our view is that one's style, lifestyle, travels, and interests can be expressed through interior design, just as through fashion and other creative expressions.The spaces we create are characterized by nuanced textures, quality materials, and an effortless style deeply rooted in classical design and architectural principles.
