Mariah Carey’s 12,575-square-foot neo-colonial mansion has found a buyer, according to the real estate agent involved in the transaction. But it’ll come at a loss for the New York-born chanteuse. Carey, who bought the Atlanta-area estate for $5.65 million simply to be closer to her band during the pandemic, has off-loaded the palatial manse for $4.3 million. Her asking price for the residence when it was listed last September was $6.5 million.

According to Shana Bradley of Ansley Real Estate who represented Carey in the sale, Michael Dickey is the new owner of the Buckhead home. Dickey is the CEO of Modern Luxury Media, which publishes magazines including HamptonsModern Luxury Manhattan, and Los Angeles Confidential, so it tracks that his luxe living proclivities aligned with the diva’s notoriously glamorous taste. Dickey already owns property in the area and plans on moving his family into the abode.

“The home sold to a local family that knows how special this property is,” Bradley said in a press release. “[They are] looking forward to enjoying all of its amenities for years to come. Both Ms. Carey and the buyer are very pleased with the outcome of this sale.”

Despite owning the property for less than a year, the songstress was still able to leave her signature touches all over the nine-bedroom house; images show the “Heartbreaker” singer converted a bedroom adjacent to the main suite into a dressing room-slash-salon, complete with pink walls and a pink glam station surrounded by Hollywood vanity lights and a professional styling chair.

Also off the main suite is a pink-walled bar for mixing cocktails at night or coffee in the morning. And in true Carey style, the “Glitter” actor swapped a number of run-of-the-mill light fixtures for glinting chandeliers in rooms like the main suite’s bathroom (which also comes complete with pink walls), the breakfast bay in the kitchen, and in the foyers.

Other highlights of the four-acre property are a pool with a cabana, several patios for dining and lounging, and a pavilion with a built-in barbecue grill.

Bradley says that Carey let go of the house in order to spend more time in her native New York.
